USING YOUR BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS IDENTIFICATION CARD:
When you present your ID card and are accompanied by your Little
Brother/Little Sister, there are reduced rates for the following places.
Coast Guard Academy, New London; Basketball home games
are 50 cents for each of you. Wrestling, baseball, and track meets at
home are free. Selected football games are at reduced rates. Call Big
Brothers/Big Sisters' office for further information.
Mystic Marine Life Aquarium:
Show your identification card and Big Brothers/Big Sisters pay reduced
admission of $8.00. Little Brothers/Little Sisters get in free.

Children's Museum of SECT (Niantic). Free admission for both Bigs
and Littles.
Waterford High School Pool: Bigs and Littles can swim for free
during Family Swim times. Call 444-5881 for more information. Either
the Big or the Little must be a resident of Waterford.

Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center: Pequotsepos Road, Mystic (536-1216).
A conservation and natural history museum on a 25 acre wildlife
sanctuary; hiking trails, ponds, fields and forest.
Admission charged.
Pioneer Farm: Mile Creek Road, off Route 156, Old Lyme (434-2083). See
dairy cattle and baby calves. Free.
Thames Science Center: Gallows Lane, New London (442-0391). Live

Tantaquidgeon Indian Museum: 1819 Norwich-New London Turnpike,
Uncasville (848-9145). Hear the history of the Mohegan Indians; see
reproductions of Indian objects. Donations.
The Thomas Lee House: Route 156 and Bridge Brook Road, Niantic
(739-6070). 17th Century house with a collection of early furniture and

hour cruises on the Connecticut River.
Connecticut Steamboat Line: 263 Main Street, Old Saybrook (345-4507). 3
hour cruise on Connecticut River.
Connecticut Valley Railroad Company: Middlesex Turnpike, Essex
(767-0103). Ride on a steam train and riverboat.
Fishers Island Ferry: City Pier, New London (443-6851). Sailing time is
45 minutes.
Kartway: 1644 Route 12, Gales Ferry (464-2472). Gasoline powered
go-karts.
Orient Point Ferry: 112 Pequot Avenue, New London (Summer: 443-5281;
Winter: 443-5035). Sailing time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.

tour of the Thames River.

Connecticut College Ice Skating Rink: Mohegan Avenue, New London

DeWolf's Pumpkin Farm: 932 Vauxhall Street Extension, Waterford
(442-8177). Large variety of decorated pumpkin faces and display of
dried flowers for sale. Free.
Maciejny's Pumpkin Farm: Brick Yard Road, off route 2, Preston
(887-2684) Barnyard animals, vegetables, gourds, Indian corn and
pumpkins for sale. Larger than life size Jack family with big pumpkin
heads. Free.
Rose Arts Festival: Chelsea Parade, Norwich (887-1647)
Up-Down Saw Mill: Iron Street, Route 214, Ledyard (464-9420).
Picnicking, ice skating in winter. Historical up and down saw mill
operates some weekends in the spring and fall, depending on water level.

Working World
Abbott's Lobster and Seafood Pound: Pearl Street, Noank (536-7719). Live
lobsters and shell fish in tanks. Free.
The Honey House: Old Mystic (536-8152,536-7178). Apiary with 16 hives.

Millstone Nuclear Power Station: Millstone Road, Waterford (442-3105).
The Information Center contains a detailed, scaled model of Millstone
Nuclear Power Station as well as other exhibits. Picnic tables, beach
and fishing areas are open to the public at Millstone Point. Free.
